Floral Mocktails & Flower Pressing

This event was really fun and I got to share my two hobbies: flower pressing and creating beverages from plants. I made each participant’s flower press, which was a great learning process for me. Intervale Florals in Margaree, Cape Breton Island, supplied a beautiful bouquet. The rest of the plants we pressed were either wild on the property, or from the Edible Garden we planted at an event the year prior.

FRESH, LOCAL, SUMMERTIME LUNCH

On the bread and butter bar, we had a Garlic Scape & Kelp Focaccia, freshly picked Blueberries, local beans, cucumber and tomato with a dill and scallion vinaigrette, a dill and truffle cashew dip, and some chanterelle butter.
